I often feel like I should be doing something, anything continuously, even on my day off from work. But then I ask myself: what’s the point of taking a day off if I don’t actually allow myself to rest? Our bodies have a way of reminding us when we need to pause—whether it’s through physical pain or mental fatigue, like struggling to focus. While life often pushes us to rush, maintaining balance requires us to push back. The gift of rest is a free treasure we often overlook.
The beauty of the Fall Season is more than just the cooler air or the vibrant colors of the changing leaves. It sets the stage for the Thanksgiving festivities.
You have probably heard the saying “meet people where they are” a lot, but what does it actually mean? To achieve this, one must establish trust by demonstrating compassion and empathy. Since each person is unique, getting to know them and their needs will help build better bonds with them. It involves adapting your communication and support to fit their needs, rather than expecting them to conform to your expectations or be in a different place mentally or emotionally.
As a life coach I use the strategy – “meet people where they are” – in my interaction with people to build trust, connection, and successful collaboration. It also means that I have to approach each person with empathy, respect, and recognition of their unique situation, viewpoint, and emotional condition.
Humanity encompasses the collective experiences, creativity, struggles, and triumph of people throughout time. In essence, humanity is about growth—individual and collective— learning from our mistakes and supporting one another as we try to improve the future. Understanding Humanity.
Regaining your glow often refers to rekindling your inner vitality, energy, and radiance, both physically and mentally. It can be about self-care, rejuvenating your mind and body, or rediscovering the passions that light you up. Whether it’s through nourishing routines, practicing mindfulness, or engaging in activities that bring you joy, regaining your glow is about finding balance and harmony within yourself. Regain your glow!
Social Communication
It’s Friday, the end to a long and exhausting week and I am making every effort to keep my gratitude level high for putting up with the mechanics of the preceding days. It’s early and the sun was not yet up but seeing the familiar faces of my commuting family and becoming engaged produced laughter and the feeling of tiredness began to evaporate.
My bus companion, to my surprise, said that I looked well, so apparently my indicators of weariness were not evident. Even though, on a Friday morning, I was the last person to think about how I looked and my first instinct was to say “really? I am so tired”, but I kept the thought to myself and nevertheless thanked her. The social interaction was just what I needed to get going and regain my glow.
Pay Attention!
Naturally, people may grow tired and lose some of their glow at the end of the work week. This is normal; it’s the body’s way of telling us to rest, take a break, and take care of ourselves. Individuals do occasionally require reminders, such as the early morning compliment I received, to be aware of their presence and their light. Even in your darkest moments, if you let positive thoughts guide your ways your light will continue to shine. Regain Your glow!
Maintenance – Regain Your Glow
Here are some things you might find useful to include in your daily routine to keep glowing both inside and out:
Practice Mindfulness and Meditation – Spend time each day in mindfulness or meditation to reduce stress and improve your mental well-being.
Connect with Loved Ones – Spend time with friends and family. Positive social interactions boost your mood and contribute to a sense of well-being.
Food – Consume a balanced diet by making sure your meals include lots of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Eating foods high in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants nourishes your body internally.
Exercise Regularly – Engage in physical activities that you enjoy, whether it’s yoga (my favorite), running, dancing, or strength training. Exercise improves circulation, boosts mood, and enhances your energy levels.
Skincare – Establish and commit to routine using products that suit your skin type and target your specific concern. Regular cleansing, exfoliating, moisturizing and sun protection are keys to healthy, glowing skin.
Engage in Creative Activities – Take time to indulge in hobbies or creative activities that make you happy. Creativity can be a great way to express yourself and have fun.
Practice Gratitude – Reflect on what you’re thankful for each day. Cultivating gratitude can shift your mindset and enhance your inner glow.
Take Time for Yourself – Regularly engage in activities that you enjoy or that relax you, such as reading, spending time in nature or having a spa day at home – I will be happy to share my activity details with you! This helps maintain a balanced and happy life.
Stay Positive – Focus on positive thinking and maintaining an optimistic outlook. A positive attitude can radiate outward, enhancing your glow.
By adding these routines into your daily life, you can protect your inner and outer glow, which will improve your general well-being. Some activity may require continued practice to become the lifestyle norm but as the saying goes, “nothing beats a failure but a try”, so let’s practice!
T’s Tip: What we sometimes don’t see in ourselves others may see. Don’t lose your glow …shine and give light to others around you! Regain Your glow!

Turning adversity into triumph is often about mindset, resilience, and strategic action. Recently, I watched a standup comedian use his disability to his advantage and I was amazed at his tenacity. His wit was great and I found myself laughing along with everyone and very quickly lost the sense of feeling sorry for the comic. Creating victory out of adversity.

What do you think of when you hear the term “silent words”? You most likely would think of words that are spelt a certain way but are not pronounced in certain context.
