Earth Energy Is Our Life Energy!

water fall earth energy is our life

“Landscapes of great wonder and beauty lie under our feet and all around us. They are discovered in tunnels in the ground, the heart of flowers, the hollows of trees, fresh-water ponds, seaweed jungles between tides, and even drops of water. Life in these hidden worlds is more startling in reality than anything we can imagine. How could this earth of ours, which is only a speck in the heavens, have so much variety of life, so many curious and exciting creatures?”- Walt Disney. Yes, the Earth is an amazing planet that gives us so much for which to be grateful! Earth Energy is our Life Energy!

Change is a great way to welcome the new season of spring!  We need to have a healthy environment, a healthy earth, to live a balanced life. Therefore, as we celebrate another Earth Day it’s important that we promote the theme of this Earth Day and Invest In Our Planet. The earth’s natural recourses such as water, fuel, plants, air and food are critical to our survival and without many of these resources we would not survive. Therefore, it is important that we in turn take care of the planet by conserving water, reducing waste, recycling and reducing our dependency on plastic products. Conserve to Protect

When we conserve, we are reserving resources for the people and places who may have limited resources, as well as for ourselves and for future generations. Let’s start early to teach our children to value the earth by including them in family Earth Day activities, and service club activities in their schools and communities. How will you celebrate this Earth Day?

Here are some earth friendly global activities that are recommended by the Earth Day organization that will help you to reduce your carbon-foot print:

1. Shop secondhand first. Buy pre-owned clothing from thrift shops, consignment shops, vintage sources, and online resale shops.

Earth-friendly benefit: You’ll be reducing impacts on the environment and waste from the overproduction of new merchandise.

2. Buy organic. Buy clothing made with organic fabrics when you can.

Earth-friendly benefit: You’ll play a part in reducing the use of pesticides and herbicides as well as keeping the Earth’s water sources clean.

3. Donate, don’t throw out. One person’s trash is another’s treasure. Donate unwanted clothing to thrift stores or local shelters instead of throwing them out.

Earth-friendly benefit: You’ll divert waste from landfills while supporting your local community

Children’s Earth Day Activities:
