Consider Everything Globally
“Think globally, Act locally” is a phrase I would often use in my past job to close my Information Security / training sessions. It served as a reminder that whatever we did locally had global implications and emphasized how important the team’s work was to the community.
The mindset promotes a sense of responsibility for both local and global well-being, recognizing that small actions contribute to larger outcomes. What we do in our small space – office or country – can have a profound effect on the lives of people in other parts of the world.

The Community – Think Globally
We live in a global society where we are reliant on one another for our basic needs such as clothing, food and shelter.
That being said, how often do we really “think outside the box,” apply a global perspective, and approach issues in a way that encourages positive results for everyone? Do we really think about other people and view the world as one community? Or do our thoughts stay confined to the just the small space we occupy?
The poet and author Gwendolyn Brooks phrased our responsibility this way- We are each other’s / harvest: / we are each other’s / business: / we are each other’s / magnitude and bond.
So, let us maintain our perspective, view the world as one community, and remain committed to working locally but thinking globally for the benefit of all people.
