The dictionary defines mother in various ways, including “one who gives birth to,” and “to care for or protect like a mother.” The key words are care and protect, which in my opinion, defines what it means to be a mother. Mother is a special title.
Mothers are not just those who have given birth to a child, but also the females – caregivers – who have supported and encouraged us in realizing our full potential. The women who made certain that our needs were satisfied during childhood.

T- Teacher. Professor Parent. The educator; instilling knowledge that gives you the skills necessary to live a worthy life. Imparting meaningful lessons and sound advice.
H- Hostess. Gracious and generous. A reservoir of abilities and skills capable of entertaining and delighting almost anyone.
E– Energetic. Possessing the joyful energy that supports the elements of a happy home. Creates a space that fills the soul with positive vibes.
R– Reliable. The guiding presence when you stumble. Celebrates the good times and gives encouragement during the bad times. Always there, the calm in the midst of a storm.
My Mothers Daughter
I wanted to be like my mother as a little girl, stylish and well-coiffed and I quickly learned to emulate her. I admired her confidence and courage as I grew older and learned more about life. My mother’s life was not without difficulties, but she faced them with remarkable courage. If I have acquired even a smidgeon of her life skills, I am grateful. I’m especially proud to be referred to as my mother’s daughter.
